Abstinence

Beer #935 is a dubbel brewed by Gage Roads in Perth, W.A., Australia.

A Belgian Dubbel Chocolate Ale. Not enough to make be abstain from drinking beer but a nice, chocolatey, fairly sweet stout, not sickly sweet like Young’s Double Chocolate Stout.

The bottle size is 640ML with an alcohol content of 7.40% (containing approximately 3.70 AU / 4.70 UK standard drinks), and it cost me $8.89.

My Rating is 6.50/10 which means it’s a very good beer, usually very tasty or bitter (which I love!).

6.50

Brewer Notes:
Gage Roads have yet again produced a limited release ale that will test your willpower, no matter how strong. Abstinence Belgian Dubbel Chocolate Ale pours a wonderful deep, dark and decadent colour which develops a dense and creamy head. Dark chocolate notes with caramel aromas cascade out of the glass where a nice hint of noble hops is layered throughout. Margaret River’s Gabriel Chocolate have lent their expertise is crafting this truly remarkable Abbey inspired ale that is truly complex, robust and decadent.
