Beer #2209 is a barley-wine style ale brewed by Bacchus Brewing in Queensland, Australia.
A sweet barley wine style imperial IPA, I got honey and burnt toffee initially then peppery spiciness, malt and citrus. The 12% ABV isn’t hidden that well, contributing an alcoholic sting and a little wineyness (but hey it’s a barley WINE). By the end of it though I’d had enough of the wineyness but it’s still a good beer.
The bottle size is 500ML with an alcohol content of 12.00% (containing approximately 4.70 AU / 6.00 UK standard drinks), and it costs $19.99.
My Rating is 6.00/10 which means it’s a good solid beer and it comes recommended.
