Independence Day 2012

Beer #889 is an ale brewed by Innis & Gunn in Edinburgh, Scotland, U.K..

Ahhh Innis & Gunn you’ve done it again. A malty oak-aged ale with a hint of vanilla. Very similar to their other beers but that’s no bad thing.

The bottle size is 330ML with an alcohol content of 7.00% (containing approximately 1.80 AU / 2.30 UK standard drinks), .

My Rating is 7.00/10 which means it’s an excellent beer and well worth hunting down.

Brewer Notes:
A light and fruity beer with notes of candied apple and marzipan. The combination of biscuit malt and citrus hops tingle the palate only diminishing after the first sip to allow the signature Innis & Gunn vanilla and oak notes to shine through. Because of this combination of Scottish malted barley and mouth-watering zesty American hops, ‘Independence Day’ beer is a great partner to BBQ dishes.
