La Verte au Genepi

Beer #1408 is a spiced ale brewed by Brasserie Du Mont Blanc in Chambéry, France.

A rather strange looking green beer, this isn’t as bad as some people have made out. It’s kinda honey sweet, maybe a little bitter, and unusually flavoured with an alpine flower called genepi. I can’t really describe it, others have described it as herbal. Not bad, I’ve had far far worse. At least it had flavour.

The bottle size is 330ML with an alcohol content of 5.90% (containing approximately 1.50 AU / 1.90 UK standard drinks), and it cost me $5.00.

My Rating is 5.50/10 which means while it’s not bad, it’s also just rather ordinary.
