Quaddlehock Chilli Edition

Beer #2441 is a smoked barley-wine style ale brewed by Bacchus Brewing in Queensland, Australia.

Similar to the Quaddlehock that I had last night except for the addition of chilli and a 13.4% ABV (as opposed to 15%), this is made with 100% smoked malt smoked over four different types of wood. It’s a sweet barley-wine style ale, smokey but never overly, with the jalapeno chilli contributing to the overall warmth to the tongue that the ABV no doubt affects too like with the original Quaddlehock. While I think I prefer the original sans chilli, they are both excellent barley-wine style ales and not to be ignored.

The bottle size is 500ML with an alcohol content of 13.40% (containing approximately 5.30 AU / 6.70 UK standard drinks), and it costs $17.00.

My Rating is 7.00/10 which means it’s an excellent beer and well worth hunting down.
