Sencha Saison

Beer #1888 is a saison brewed by Renaissance in Marlborough, New Zealand.

An unusual saison, yeasty of course but subtly spicy with a lemon and lime streak running through it. It’s slightly sour at times but also sweet with a dry finish. The addition of hibiscus tea might sound strange but it works, leaving an aftertaste of tea leaves.

The bottle size is 500ML with an alcohol content of 6.50% (containing approximately 2.60 AU / 3.20 UK standard drinks), and it cost me $16.99.

My Rating is 6.50/10 which means it’s a very good beer, usually very tasty or bitter (which I love!).
