Shellraiser

Beer #3177 is a stout brewed by Dainton Family Brewery in Australia.

I probably shouldn’t have had this one given it is 9.5% but I didn’t realise that until after I opened it. Life’s a bitch sometimes isn’t it? Anyway, it’s a thick imperial stout (made with 110 dozen oysters apparently but I don’t know how much they made of it). Certainly salty, lots of brine, not getting any bacon despite having read about that, but also not getting oysters either. Roasty, with bitter dark chocolate, malty. The 9.5% ABV is beautifully hidden.

The bottle size is 355ML with an alcohol content of 9.50% (containing approximately 2.70 AU / 3.40 UK standard drinks), and it costs $7.75.

My Rating is 7.00/10 which means it’s an excellent beer and well worth hunting down.
