Tonic Ale

Beer #1776 is an ale brewed by Pike’s in Sevenhill, S.A., Australia.

While not exactly a tonic for the system, this is an interesting attempt at something slightly different. There’s orange and lemon peel, coriander and ginger. It’s all very subtle though but I did spot the coriander. There’s also cinchona bark (which sounds barking mad to me). Refreshingly weird, but ultimately nothing special.

The bottle size is 330ML with an alcohol content of 2.30% (containing approximately 0.60 AU / 0.80 UK standard drinks), and it cost me $3.25.

My Rating is 5.75/10 which means it’s lacking something to make it a genuinely good beer, although it’s drinkable enough.
