Verdi Imperial Stout

Beer #2425 is an imperial stout brewed by Birrificio Del Ducato in Italy.

With only a 8.2% ABV this tastes more like ten or twelve percent carrying as it does quite a bit of alcohol burn although that could also be attributed to the chili that was used in the brew. Despite this, or maybe because of this, it’s a rich and intense imperial stout, with chocolate upfront and coffee and licorice in the background. It’s smooth and creamy with a sweetness running through it. By the end of the bottle my mouth was burning (but pleasantly so) from the chili. Very good!

The bottle size is 330ML with an alcohol content of 8.20% (containing approximately 2.10 AU / 2.70 UK standard drinks), and it costs $11.99.

My Rating is 6.50/10 which means it’s a very good beer, usually very tasty or bitter (which I love!).
