Beer #3172 is a sweet potato gose brewed by Bacchus Brewing in Queensland, Australia.

This gose was brewed with roasted sweet potatoes and sprigs of rosemary and, surprisingly, it works. Extremely well. The gose is zesty and salty as usual, but there’s a sweet savouryness to it all too. Lactose was added to the brew which no doubt contributes some sweetness and creaminess, but the sweet potatoes certainly adds to the whole. In addition to the saltiness, there’s also a peppery quality too (from the rosemary?). Excellent.

The bottle size is 500ML with an alcohol content of 5.00% (containing approximately 2.00 AU / 2.50 UK standard drinks), and it costs $13.00.

My Rating is 7.00/10 which means it’s an excellent beer and well worth hunting down.
