Dragonwort Stout

Beer #1850 is an imperial stout brewed by Nogne in Grimstad, Norway.

This one pours thick like oil and with little carbonation. It’s a thick tasting stout, with a huge 14% ABV that’s never winey although it does contribute a massive warmth to the proceedings. Generally the 14% is extremely well hidden. It’s sweet but roasty, with licorice, some chocolate and coffee, and it’s definitely bitter although it’s not as bitter as it could’ve been at such a high ABV. Very good!

The bottle size is 500ML with an alcohol content of 14.00% (containing approximately 5.50 AU / 7.00 UK standard drinks), and it cost me $15.99.

My Rating is 6.50/10 which means it’s a very good beer, usually very tasty or bitter (which I love!).
