Hock Stock & Two Smokin Trotters

Beer #2354 is a smoked ale brewed by Bacchus Brewing in Queensland, Australia.

This is probably the weirdest beer that I’ve had from Bacchus in Queensland. They’ve tried to emulate the taste of honey glazed smoked ham and I’d say they’ve succeeded. It’s a thick tasting smoked ale, sweet from maple syrup with orange peel in the background. The first couple of sips were weird but soon after my palate adjusted and by the end it’s an excellent and unusual beer that I’d certainly have again.

The bottle size is 500ML with an alcohol content of 5.70% (containing approximately 2.20 AU / 2.80 UK standard drinks), and it costs $12.00.

My Rating is 7.00/10 which means it’s an excellent beer and well worth hunting down.
