Holy Mole

Beer #3500 is an imperial stout brewed by Amundsen in Oslo, Norway.

Well I’m at the halfway mark, only 500 more to go till the next milestone. In the meantime, this is a sweet creamy imperial dessert stout, oops I mean ultra pastry stout, with a whopping 13.5% ABV. The mouthfeel is maybe a touch on the thin side for something that promises something bigger, but it’s lightly chocolatey, quite smooth on the tongue, with cinnamon being more noticeable than the chilli. There’s a warmth to the beer but that could be as much to do with the ABV than the chilli. I expected a more prominent chilli hit but it didn’t materialise. A very good imperial dessert stout though.

The bottle size is 440ML with an alcohol content of 13.50% (containing approximately 4.70 AU / 5.90 UK standard drinks), and it costs $21.60.

My Rating is 6.50/10 which means it’s a very good beer, usually very tasty or bitter (which I love!).
