King of Denmark

Beer #2532 is an old ale brewed by Bacchus Brewing in Queensland, Australia.

Like the Brettfast Stout two nights ago, i didn’t like this one at first due to the off-putting sourness. By the end of the glass i was quite enjoying it but not as much as the stout. It’s a little stout-like though, malty, with some minor chocolate overtones, and a little spiciness from the rye. Bitterness is low. The 9.5% ABV is very well hidden though.

The bottle size is 500ML with an alcohol content of 9.50% (containing approximately 3.70 AU / 4.80 UK standard drinks), and it costs $17.00.

My Rating is 5.75/10 which means it’s lacking something to make it a genuinely good beer, although it’s drinkable enough.
