New Zealand Pilsner

Beer #1046 is a pilsner brewed by Croucher in Rotorua, New Zealand.

A good solid pilsner, my first from this New Zealand brewery, slightly malty and sweet, maybe a touch of spice to it.

The bottle size is 500ML with an alcohol content of 5.00% (containing approximately 2.00 AU / 2.50 UK standard drinks), and it cost me $12.00.

My Rating is 6.00/10 which means it’s a good solid beer and it comes recommended.

Brewer Notes:
Originally Czech-inspired, our New Zealand Pilsner is a showcase of Kiwi hops. Released in January 2007. Tasting Notes: Appearance – a pale straw coloured beer. 10% wheat malt added to the grist supplies a generous clinging head. Aroma – a true lager yeast fermented at low temperatures provides the characteristic characteristics of a bohemian pilsner. Generous additions on New Zealand Motueka and Riwaka hops provide a new world twist to this ancient classic. This is a very hoppy lager. Particularly Luscious.
