Red Duck Big Licky

Beer #2125 is a stout brewed by Purrumbete in Camperdown, N.S.W., Australia.

I thought I got a whiff of licorice as I cracked open the bottle and started pouring but when I took a sniff of both the bottle and the half full glass I couldn’t detect any. It’s barely detectable in the taste too, the same goes for the aniseed and sarsparilla also added to this brew, but it’s still an enjoyable stout, smooth, creamy and malty. You just never go oh that’s licorice, or wow that’s aniseed I can taste. The 8% ABV is not detectable at all.

The bottle size is 500ML with an alcohol content of 8.00% (containing approximately 3.20 AU / 4.00 UK standard drinks), and it cost me $14.99.

My Rating is 6.50/10 which means it’s a very good beer, usually very tasty or bitter (which I love!).
